The  listing here are movie soundtracks or “Best of” compilation releases. It does NOT include those releases that include any of the following Big Country singles: Alone Broken Heart (Thirteen Valleys) Chance Fields of Fire In A Big Country King of Emotion Look Away One Great Thing Wonderland There are FAR too many of these to list. The purpose of THIS list is to showcase those other tracks that have appeared on one or two non-Big Country releases. Of course, Restless Natives is treated separately on this site.

		“All Fall Together” is track 1 on side 1 of the 1984 compilation LP “Sometimes A Great Notion” and track 1 of its 2009 CD release.

	Balcony
		‘Balcony’ is track 4 on the soundtrack to the motion picture ‘Against All Odds’ (1984) 3:59

	Cracked Actor
		Big Country’s cover of “Cracked Actor” is track 9 on of the compilation CD “Starman” which was included in the March 2003 edition of the UK magazine ‘Uncut’ and includes 18 different David Bowie songs covered by different artists. It was also track 5 of the Crysalis Records (USA) promo release ‘The Covers From Mars’ which contains 11 such covers.

	Dive Into Me
		The version of “Dive Into Me” from Come Up Screaming is track 14 of the compilation CD “Where Legends Live”, included in the 21December 2000 issue of Classic Rock magazine. (5:21)

	Driving To Damascus
		“Driving To Damascus”  is track 5 on Disc 1 of the 2001 2CD German compilation “Motor Mania Vol.2” (3:57)

	East of Eden
		“East of Eden”  is track 3 on side 1 of Disc 2 of the 1984 2LP UK compilation “Now That’s What I Call Music 4”  (Not available on the CD and cassette editions)

	Flame of the West
		“Flame of the West” (Llama del oeste)(translates to “Call of the West”) is track 2 on side 2 of the 1985 Argentina compilation promo EP (referred to as a “Maxi-Simple” ) (Philips Records 00515)

	Harvest Home
		The single version of “Harvest Home” is track 1 of side one on the 1984 LP acommpanying ‘Debut Magazine’ Issue 01. (Listed correctly on the sleeve but as “Harvest” on the disc). The version from Live In Essen is track 7 of the downloadable compilation “80’s Flashback and track 9 of the downloadable compilation “Pure 80’s Pop”.

	Hold The Heart
		’Hold The Heart’ is track 5 on the soundtrack to the motion picture ‘P.I. (Private Investigations)’ (1987) 5:33

	I’m Not Ashamed
		“I’m Not Ashamed” is track 12 on CD #2 of the 2005 UK 2CD compilation “Essential Rock Anthems” (4:13)

	I’m On Fire
		Big Country’s cover of “I’m On Fire” is included on the 2003 compilation CD “Born To Run 2003, which was included in the April 2003 edition of the UK magazine Uncut. It was again in the 2006 compilation CD “If I Were The Boss”. Both CD’s include  different Bruce Springsteen songs covered by different artists.

	In This Place
		“In This Place”  (En Este Lugar) is track 4 on side 2 of the 1989 Argentina compilation LP “17 Top Lentos III”  (Lento is Spanish for ‘slow song’)

	The Journey
		“The Journey” is track 3on the 15 track compilation CD “24 Carat Gold” that was included in issue 184 (June 2013) of “Classic Rock Magazine”.

	Just A Shadow
		“Just A Shadow” is track 15  on the compilation CD “Proud To Be Loud” and track 4 of the 1985 German release “Shout” (5:41).

	The One I Love
		The ‘Thoerner Mix’ of ‘The One I Love’, which also appears on ‘The Big Sampler’ is track 1 of the July 1993 US compilation release, ‘Album Network Expand-O CD Tune Up #37’, track 3 of the 1993 US promotional release ‘Par Spectives Number Three’ from FMQB and track 3 of the 1993 US promotional release ‘Tune Up Vol. 101’ (5:04)

	One In A Million
		“One In A Million” is track 7 on CD #2 of the 2005 2CD compilation “The Alltime Greatest Rock Ballads of the 70s 80s & 90s” (5:00)

	Paranoid
		Big Country’s version of “Paranoid” is track 4 of the 1995 German compilation CD ‘Under Cover Vol. III’

	Peace In Our Time
		“Peace In Our Time” (as well as In A Big Country, Where The Rose Is Sown, Fields of Fire and Look Away) is included in the 1990 Italian  release “Il Rock 96”, which consists of one side of an LP devoted to Big Country and the other side to Lloyd Cole. The Moscow 1988 version is track 13 of the downloadable compilation “80’s New Wave Live - The Ultimate Festival Experience” (5:26).

	Pink Marshmallow Moon
		The Live In Cologne version of “Pink Marshmallow Moon” is track 38 on the downloadable compilation “Music & The Moon” (4:27)

	Pollock and The Porrohman
		Inlcuded as part of the Minoan Music compilation “Music To Kill For” distributed at the 2008 CMJ Marathon in October 2008.

	Republican Party Reptile
		“Republican Party Reptile” is track 3 on CD #1 of the 2CD promo release “Phonogram News 10/91”

	Save Me
		The single edit of “Save Me” is track 12 1990 promo release “Phonogram Promotion CD Nr. 6”. The full version is track 4 of the 1990 release “Pure Rock 1990”.

	The Seer
		“The Seer” is track 12 on the 1986 Compilation CDs “Hits on CD Volume 5” and “Hit Collection Volume 1” and track 15 on CD #2 of the 1996 Dutch 2CD compilation “Drive”

	Ships
		The “No Place Like Home” Album version of “Ships” is track 10 on CD #2 of the November 1991 promotional release “Phonogram News”. The radio edit of “Ships” is track 9  1994 RCA US promo compilation CD “A Generation That Once Raised Hell Is Now Raising Kids and This Is The Kind of Music They’re listening To” which features various RCA artists of the day.The Buffalo Skinners album version of “Ships” is track 9 of the 1995 release “Celtic Inspiration”. “The Buffalo Skinners” Album version of “Ships” is also track 12 on CD #1 of the 2005 2CD compilation “The Alltime Greatest Rock Ballads of the 70s 80s & 90s”.

	Steeltown
		“Steeltown” is track 2 on side 1 of disc 2 of the 1984 Canadian promo compilation “Vertigo Sampler” (Vertigo Records GO241). “Steeltown” (Ciudad de Acero) is also track 2 on side 1 of the 1984 Argentina compilation promo EP (referred to as a “Maxi-Simple” ) (Philips Records 00513)

	The Teacher
		“The Teacher” is track 18  on the compilation CD “80’s Back To School Party” .

	We’re Not In Kansas
		The version of “We’re Not In Kansas” from “The Buffalo Skinners” is track 2 on the 1993 promo release ‘Tune Up Vol. 105”

	Where The Rose Is Sown
		“Where The Rose Is Sown” (as well as In A Big Country, Peace In Our Time, Fields of Fire and Look Away) is included in the 1990 Italian  release “Il Rock 96”, which consists of one side of an LP devoted to Big Country and the other side to Lloyd Cole. It was also track 4 in the 1996 Polygram CD Sampler “Boris’s Best”(5:01).The Live In Essen version is track 11 of the downloadable compilation “Rock Nostalgia”, (as well as the Moscow 1988 versions of In A Big Country and King of Emotion)(4:55).

	Woodstock
		An acoustic live version of Big Country’s rendition of ‘Woodstock’ appears on track 5 of the 1995 Dutch release ‘2 Meter Sessions Volume 6’. (4:11)

	You Dreamer
		“You Dreamer” is track 7 on CD #2 of the 2005 German 2CD compilation “Scream For Rock” (4:54)
