The wizard of OZ.......
Some of you have asked, "What happened to the death matches?". The short answer is that the matches are being re-tooled...
...The long answer is that there has been rumbling around that some of those who are potential "combatants" in the "Death Matches" may have a less than healthy sense of humor aboot themselves. Everybody pretty much doesn't have a problem with laughing at the expense of someone else and THINK and may even SAY that they can laugh at themselves. However, we all know that many folks act differently when it actually happens.
Second issue: There was some concern over how the matches would be viewed by "outsiders" who stumble on to this site (the first W in WWW does mean WORLD) and how it reflects their view of where the participants work. Why am I being so cryptic (more so than usual)? At some point I'll put up a full legal disclaimer (Those who know me well, know that it will be a doozie), but in the meantime, be advised that nothing on this site is affiliated with anybody and is not endorsed by anyone.
You may ask, "What's with the Wizard of Oz stuff?"...Well, my reply to my critics who can't see that this site is aboot satire, parody, and having fun. Sure there are and will be parts that are to be taken seriously. However, anybody who can't tell which is which , you are like the Scarecrow...If you only had a brain.
Me, maybe I should take some of my own advice and not give a flying f* aboot what anybody thinks aboot this site and just do what I want to do. However, I do know that there are always possible unintentional repercussions to one's action and I would not want anything that I do here reflect poorly on my family, my friends, my co-workers and my department. Maybe I'm like the Cowardly Lion and a little short on nerve (I never thought I'd say that) or maybe I'm trying to be like the Tin Dude and trying to have a heart.
